After winning their final two games of the season against seventh ranked North Idaho College and College of Southern Idaho, the USU Eastern Lady Eagles ended the regular season on a high note.

Now the Eastern women have their sights set on continuing the momentum from their strong finish into the Scenic West Athletic Conference tournament starting today.

As the third seed in the tournament, Eastern (16-14, 8-7 SWAC) will take on sixth seeded Colorado Northwestern Community College (11-19, 1-14 SWAC) at 2 p.m on the campus of Salt Lake Community College.

In earning the third seed, Eastern needed some help from CNCC in their game against CSI on Saturday. Eastern got what they were looking for as CNCC eeked out a 76-74 win over CSI, giving CNCC their first SWAC win of the year.

Eastern may be without 6-foot-2 sophomore forward Caitlin Nelson who injured her knee during the win over CSI on Friday night.

Eastern will be led by sophomore Priscila Santos who is averaging 29 points per game, which leads the NJCAA.
