A dry hole here is good news

Drillers from RB and G Engineering were doing another round of test holes to make sure that the geology and hydrology would not pose any problems for the structure.

Drivers cruising along 100 North near 700 East in Price last week may have thought the drill rig in the vacant lot was looking for oil or water. Finding either would have been bad news, because this is the site of the planned multimillion-dollar county office complex. Drillers from RB&G Engineering were doing another round of test holes to make sure that the geology and hydrology would not pose any problems for the structure. County engineer Curtis Page said things look good so far. There is no sign of high ground water in the area near the street where the building will be sited. Page said the building will be situated closer to the street, with parking and access behind and to the sides. The project is intended to consolidate various county functions in one central place instead of having them scattered. The current county offices are not adequate for that.
