Migrants take a break

Colin Moynier, Collin Fleck and Tyler McKinnon stand with Second Chance Wildlife Rehab director Debbie Souza-Pappas as she holds the young owl the young men saved in Price last October.

Mike Keller captured this photograph of a pair of Bald Eagles recently. The male is easily identified by the familiar white head and tail feathers. About a thousand of the birds winter in Utah, then head north for the summer. Others pass through the region on their way northward. There are only about a dozen or so nests in Utah.
