In the fourth quarter, Emery and Carbon battled it out as both teams tried to grab the victory. Thirty-two minutes was not enough as the two teams were tied at 52-52 at the end of regulation.
In overtime Emery was able to sneak past Carbon thanks in part to Dallon Cologie who finished with 30 points for the Spartans.
Jordan Blanc led the Dinos with 18 points and eight rebounds. Derek Young added 12 points and five rebounds.
Both teams shot poorly from the foul line but Carbon (21-of-45, 46.7 percent) may be left to lament what could have been a win.
