The Pinnacle High Lady Panthers started slower than they would have liked against visiting Whitehorse. That slow start gave way to a deficit too large to overcome as the Lady Panthers fell to Whitehorse 64-28 on Friday night at the PHS gymnasium.
PHS (8-5, 1-2 Region 19) fell behind early 20-2 after the first quarter and trailed 33-10 at halftime.
The Lady Panthers were able to get their offense going in the second half but Whitehorse (3-7, 1-1 Region 19) shut down any attempt at a comeback thanks to a number of fast break layups.
Jordan Hamner led the Lady Panthers with 11 points including three three-pointers. Naomi Dalton and Ashia Andrews each had six points.
