A 36-year-old Price woman who allegedly struck an 11-year-old bicyclist on his way to school Friday morning and left the scene has been arrested and booked into Carbon County Jail.
According to Price Police Capt. Kevin Drolc, Tenille Maclean was backing out of a driveway at 441 S. Carbon shortly before 8 a.m. when her car collided with the bicyclist, who was pedaling southbound on the sidewalk. She spoke to the boy briefly, then drove away before police arrived.
The boy was treated for minor scrapes and was released to attend Creekview Elementary School.
Maclean was located and stopped at 800 North and Homestead Blvd. a few minutes later. Drolc said the charges against her are: DUI, drugs; leaving the scene of an injury accident; and driving on a denied license.
The incident was investigated by Price police officers Susan Hyde and Iain Walker, and Carbon County deputy sheriff Wally Hendricks.
