IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF BILL BARRETT CORPORATION FOR
ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL OF THE JACK CANYON UNIT 14-32 SWD WELL LOCATED
IN SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 12S, RANGE 16E, CARBON COUNTY, UTAH, AS A
CLASS II INJECTION WELL.
THE STATE OF UTAH TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ABOVE ENTITLED
Notice is hereby given that the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (the
"Division") is commencing an informal adjudicative proceeding to
consider the application of the Bill Barrett Corporation for
administrative approval of the Jack Canyon Unit 14-32 SWD well,
located in SE/4 SW/4, Section 32, Township 12S, Range 16E, Salt Lake
Meridian, Carbon County, Utah, for additional perforations of the
injection interval for the Class II injection well. The adjudicative
proceedings will be conducted informally according to Utah Admin. Rule
R649-10, Administrative Procedures.
Selected zones in the Upper & Middle Wasatch Formation will be used
for water disposal by injection. The maximum requested injection
pressure and rate for this well will be determined based on fracture
gradient information submitted by Bill Barrett Corporation.
Any person desiring to object to the proposed application or
otherwise intervene in the proceeding must file a written protest or
notice of intervention with the Division within fifteen days following
publication of this notice. The Division's Presiding Officer for the
proceeding is Brad Hill, Oil & Gas Permitting Manager, at P.O. Box
145801, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114-5801, phone number (801) 538-5340.
If such a protest or notice of intervention is received, a hearing
will be scheduled in accordance with the aforementioned administrative
procedure rule. Protestants and/or interveners should be prepared to
demonstrate at the hearing how this matter affects their interests.
