Sherill Ann Caskey
SALT LAKE/SPRING GLEN - Sherill Ann Caskey passed away on Sept. 30, 2011 at her home in Salt Lake City after suffering with lung cancer. She was cared for extensively for several months by her husband Steve and hospice. She died at age 57.
She was born Dec. 31, 1953 in St. Mark's Hospital, Salt Lake City. She is survived by her husband, Steve Caskey, their son Eric and daughter Serena Caskey, her parents Wayne and Shirley Peters of Spring Glen, two brothers, Mark Peters, Steve Peters, and sister Janet Adair, and nephews William, Nick, and Daniel Kirby, John and Michael Peters, and neices Stephanie Day, Priscilla and Crystal Peters.
She was a graduate of Layton High School with accelerated skills in business and became an executive secretary for several employers, including the State Archivist in West Virginia. During high school she received private lessons at her home as a seamstress and made most of her own clothes. She was so petite she could buy material for a $1 to make her own dress. She was one of the best dressed girls in high school.
We will all miss her sweet spirit and wry sense of humor. She was kind and thoughtful, always thinking of the good side of a person and seldom said a bad word about anyone. She loved gardening and was an extraordinary cook.
