1 injured in rear-end collision

Rescue workers gently remove the injured driver for the trip by ambulance to Castleview Hospital.

The female driver of black Toyota Corolla S was injured Wednesday afternoon in a rear-end collision in front of the WalMart parking lot.

The name, address and age of the driver were not available at press time.

She had to be removed slowly from the wrecked car as fire and ambulance rescuers used neck brace and back supports.

The collision happened at about 3:15 p.m., when the Toyota was hit from the rear by a brown Ford pickup truck.

The incident is under invetigation by the Highway Patrol.
