Carbon School District continued its reshuffling of administrators as they named two administrators to take over the principal posts at Carbon High School and Mont Harmon Junior High on Thursday.
Bruce Bean, principal at Mont Harmon Jr. High, will be leaving the school to take over the position as principal at Carbon High School. Bean will be replacing Greg Stanfield, who left his post for a position as Dean of Education with Stevens-Henager College in St. George. Bean has served as assistant principal at Carbon High and is a long time secondary science and sports medicine teacher. He completed his undergraduate work at Utah State University and received an administrative credential from the University of Phoenix. Bean lives in Price with his wife JoAnn and is the father of four.
Carol Wells, who has served as the assistant principal at Mont Harmon Jr. High, will take over the position as principal with Bean's departure to Carbon High. Wells has taught at the elementary level and has served as principal at Petersen Elementary and East Carbon High School. She attended Utah State University for her undergraduate studies and received her masters in educational leadership from the University of Utah. She is a resident of East Carbon along with her husband Dan and is the mother of three children.
These moves come shortly after Carbon School District named Ryan Maughan as the new principal at Sally Mauro Elementary and announced that Seth Allred, who served as principal at Sally Mauro Elementary, would be taking the principal post at Wellington Elementary.
Despite the moves being made within a few weeks before the school year is due to start, Carbon School District administrators said they were confident that all of the newly named principals would be fully prepared for the first day of school on Aug. 24.
