Emery and Carbon Animal Health sponsored and held an adoption day July 8 for the Emery Animal Shelter and Carbon Animal Shelter, showcasing several cats and dogs from their shelters. The Emery High School Sterling Scholars donated their time in advertising and helping out during the adoption day as part of the required service hours as sterling scholars. Twelve animals from Emery Animal Shelter found new homes.
Six cats and four dogs were adopted into permanent homes and two other dogs were fostered. From the Carbon Animal Shelter, four cats and one dog were adopted. The adoption fee included a neuter/spay, rabies vaccine, Avid chip, wellness exam and de-worming.
There was free pizza and soda for all who stopped by and considered adopting. Both Emery Animal Shelter and Carbon Animal Shelter take great measures to get these shelter animals adopted. Creating opportunities for them like an adoption day is just one way they can help these animals find loving homes.
