CITY OF PRICE NOTICE OF ELECTION

    
    CITY OF PRICE NOTICE OF ELECTION
    
    	The City of Price, Utah, hereby gives notice that a municipal
election will be held this year to elect persons to three (3) Council
positions with four (4) year terms.
    
    CANDIDACY (UCA 20A-9-203):
    
    	Candidates shall file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with
the City Recorder at the City Offices, 185 E. Main, Price, Utah,
during office hours and not later than the close of normal office
hours between July 1 and July 15, 2011. Office hours are Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. excluding July 4, 2011.
    
    QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE (UCA 20a-9-203):
    
    	1.	Registered voter of the municipality (City of Price).
    
    	2.	Resident of the municipality (City of Price) for a period of
12 
    		consecutive months immediately before the date of the 
    		election.
    
    	3.	In accordance with the Utah Constitution Article IV, Section
6, 
    		any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a 
    		felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against 
    		the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until
the 
    		right to hold elective office is restored.
    
    ELECTION DATES:
    
    September 13, 2011     TUESDAY- PRIMARY ELECTION (if needed)
    
    November 8, 2011       TUESDAY- GENERAL ELECTION
