Roger Kerr "Gone Fishing"
PRICE- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Roger Alan Kerr, age 55, returned home to His Heavenly Father on May 10, 2011 in the comfort of his home.
He was born March 1, 1956 in Fort Lewis, Wash., to Rex Dean and Bonnie Pay Kerr.
Married the love of his life Patricia Riley Nov. 28, 1976 in Ely, Nev. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on Sept. 9, 2005.
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was active in scouts. He will always be remembered as a loving, kind and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fixing things and could make anything look new. Roger could always be found with a fishing pole in one hand, a hammer in the other and he always had a grandchild hanging on his pant leg. He had a great sense of humor, a huge heart and loved helping people. Roger will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kerr, Price; daughters, Angie (Dana) Nielson, Amber (Greg) Clark, Ashlee Kerr; sons, Tony (Penie) Kerr, Steven (Rachel) Kerr, Michael Kerr, Cal Kerr; 24 grandchildren; father, Rex Kerr; mother, Bonnie Pay; sister, Michelle (Albert) Noppers; brother, Todd (Connie) Kerr; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brother, Rex Dean Kerr; mother and father-in-law, Cal and Hellen Riley.
Funeral service, Saturday, May 14, 2011, 1 p.m., Price Eleventh LDS Ward, (300 W. 500 S.), Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street) in Price Friday from 6-7 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
