Carbon's Hayden Basinger gathers a gounder from shortstop before firing to first base to get the out in earlier game with ALA.
It only took two innings for the Dinos to put the ALA Eagles away on Monday night. They were two big innings as Carbon mowed over ALA 14-1 to stay undefeated in region action.
Hayden Basinger took his first pitch off the mound Monday afternoon already sitting on a seven run lead. The big Dino bats got rolling early as Carbon burst out in the top of the first with seven runs.
While the Dinos did not score in the second, it was deja vu in the third as Carbon again posted seven on the board. ALA finally drove on over in the fifth as the game quickly drew to an end.
The Dinos scored 14 runs on 12 hits and committed a pair of errors. Dylan Vogrinec blasted a pair of doubles and Julian Tamllos added a two bagger as well.
Carbon finishes up regular season action on Friday with a double header over in Park City. State tournament play begins on May 14. There will be four games beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Carbon High field.
