Minor injuries in Carbonville Road collision

Emergency medical technicians tend to the injured while deputies interview other persons involved in a two-car collision on Carbonville Road across from the Department of Natural Resources Building Friday afternoon. According to Sheriff James Cordova, there were no serious injuries although drivers and passengers were taken to Castleview Hospital for additional examination. The sheriff said that 18-year-old Troyal George of Helper was driving a Dodge Caravan southbound when he apparently fell asleep, drifted across the center line and collided with a Dodge Dakota pickup driven by Cody Smith, 31, of Wellington. George was cited for improper lane change.
