Early last week, Snow College returned to finish their series with Eastern Utah that had been postponed by a storm. EU crushed them 9-6 and 22-1. But the tables were turned when Western Nevada rolled in for their weekend series and swept EU 7-4, 15-4, 5-2 and 16-2.

On Tuesday March 8, EU opened up their make up game with Snow. It took six pitchers to get the job done, but Tory Ullibarri picked up the win.

The Eagles pounded out nine runs on seven hits. Justin Ortin and Kendall Prescott had a double and Aaron Sandoval went deep for the win.

The second game was over in just five innings with Craig Brinkerhoff taking the win off the mound. EU parlayed 22 runs off of 12 hits. Mason Hollingsworth and Kort Christoffers and Brock Carlson all hit a two bagger. Ortin blasted a triple.

Western Nevada took the early lead on Saturday's opener and then EU tied it up with 2 in the third. It stayed knotted until the Wildcats took the lead by a run in the sixth. The Eagles anwered with two in the top of the seventh, but couldn't hold the lead as WN posted four in the bottom of the inning for the victory.

Colter Moore took the mound in the game and went 5.1 innings. John Morgan got the loss after pitching to one batter. Tyler Slesk and Kort Christoffers hit home runs for the Eagles.

The second game of the day began as a one run stalemate when WN went on a four-run tear. They added runs almost every inning.

EU was only able to score one run about every other inning. Slesk and Nuho Kraja picked up doubles and Brinkerhoff added a homer in the losing cause. Kody Christoffers got the loss off the mound.

The eraly game on Saturday was EU's best showing of the weekend. The Wildcats jumped out 3-0 in the first, but the Eagles chipped away as they held WN scoreless until the sixth. WN put up a run in both of the final two frams to claim the win. Kort Christoffers was the losing pitcher in the game. Ben Kraja, Brinkerhoff and Mason Hollingsworth each smacked a double.

In the final game of the series EU went through five pitchers in five innings as Western Nevada pounded them for 16 runs. Eleven of them came in the third inning alone.

Jordan Hepworth had to take the loss in the game. It was the only game that EU had a lead in the entire series as they scored in the first. But that was as long as it lasted. Kody Christoffers put up the only extra base hit with a double.

The team stands at 6-16 on the season and 0-8 in conference play.

They hope to pick up much needed wins this weekend as they head to Rangely to face Colorado Northwestern Community College.
