SALT LAKE CITY/PRICE - Louise Wheeler Rauzi Crowson passed away March 15, 2011 in Salt Lake City due to complications from back surgery and Parkinson's disease.

Born Nov. 28, 1931 in Springville to William Joseph and Elva Hilda Anderson Wheeler. Married Louis Anthony Rauzi in 1951, later divorced. Married Ulrich Crowson in 1968.

Louise received an LPN degree from the College of Eastern Utah in 1973 and was an LPN at Carbon County Hospital, later Castleview Hospital until her retirement in 2000.

Louise was an active person and enjoyed sports; she played with Mitchell's Mummies softball team in Helper and enjoyed bowling when she lived in Moab and later Price. She loved the outdoors and was never more at home than when she was hiking or camping with family or friends in Canyonlands country. Louise loved to take pictures and she rarely went anywhere without her camera. Louise also loved to paint and sketch and many of her oil paintings were gifts to friends and loved ones.

Louise is survived by one son, Steven Louis Rauzi, Tucson, Ariz; one daughter Jeanne Marie Rauzi Santistevan, Salt Lake City; one brother and sister-in-law, William Paul and Betty Wheeler, Price. Also survived by three grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Preceded in death by parents, one sister, Elsa Dolores Wheeler Bottiger, one niece, and both husbands.

Cremation by Holbrook Mortuary. The family thanks Federal Heights for providing care and Sunbrook Hospice for keeping Louise comfortable in her final days.

Louise requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Parkinson's disease or cancer foundation.
