The county commission has agreed to a half-price deal on Event Center rental for the state firefighters convention in June.
At the request of Price Fire Chief Paul Bedont, rental for the three-day event will be $2,500.
"The last time those folks were in town it looked like they were spending a lot of money," commented Commissioner Mike Milovich.
The Event Center was built to host large gatherings with the aim of creating customers for traveler and tourism-related local businesses.
The center also has the capability of staging space-intensive events such as the fire truck rodeo planned for the June convention.
