CHS wrestlers still rolling on road

Carbon's Vance Fonnesbeck gets his faced pulled by a Morgan wrestler but he still won the match.

The Carbon Dino wrestling team has been on the road for a series of meets and tournaments.

On Dec. 8, they competed at North Summit High School and Carbon came out ahead of North Summit 60-18, but lost to Morgan 43-31.

Then on Friday and Saturday they headed to the Juab Winter Classic Duel Tournament. The Dinos beat six of the eight teams at the meet.

The success was impressive because has to give up six team points due to not having wrestler at 215 pounds. Also they have a JV wrestler filling in at 119 pounds. Defending state champion, Bryce Jackman usually competes at the weight, but is out due to injury. Currently, CHS wrestlers have 17 wins and 4 losses in team competition.
