The 38th annual Soroptimist International Charity Benefit was held at the Carbon Country Club on Friday evening.
The event brought out about 125 people for Hors d'oeuvres including Salmon wrapped aspargus, bacon and egg sandwiches with honey mustard, pasta, cranberry meatballs and paired beverages. There was also plenty of delectable desserts to be sampled.
The event also included a silent auction with about 25 items that were auctioned off including gift baskets, framed photos and a travel bag.
The Soroptimists are an international service organization that focuses on bettering the lives of women and girls throughout the world.
All of the money raised from the event will be going towards a wide range of projects in the county that focus on helping women and children.
