An 18-year-old Price woman suffered minor injuries after a collision and rollover on US-6 destroyed her car near Helper Thursday afternoon.

The Utah Highway Patrol said Mallorie Martinez had taken her eye off the road momentarily, then noticed she was about to collide with a flatbed trailer being hauled by a pickup driven by 67-year-old Dennis Regan of California.

She swerved left but was unable to avoid hitting the the rear end of the trailer. The trailer jack-knifed, Martinez lost control, hit the dirt on the side of the road and rolled her Toyota Corolla.

She was taken by ambulance to Castleview Hospital where she was treated and released.

Regan was not injured in the crash.

UHP said that both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The photograph above also shows that Martinez' airbag deployed.
