No injuries in Price car, motorcycle crash

The riderless motorcycle is wedged under the bumper of the Cherokee shortly after Wednesday's Main Street collision.

A Jeep and motorcycle collided near the entrance to Castle Rock Square slowing traffic on Main Street on Wednesday evening.

A white Jeep Cherokee traveling eastbound was attempting to make a left-hand turn into the parking lot when it collided with a motorcycle heading in the other direction. The driver of the motorcycle, noticing an accident was about to occur, bailed off the bike just before the car and bike collided, according to Price Police Officer Brandon Sicilia.

The motorcycle slid along the ground hitting the Jeep, eventually being caught underneath the bumper of the Jeep.

The biker suffered only very minor injuries, Sicilia said.

Both drivers were cited at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was cited for failure to yield a right of way. The driver of the motorcycle was cited for having a revoked registration, according to Sicilia.

Speed did not play a factor in the accident, Sicilia said.
