Masons celebrate 100 years in Price

Ridgely H. Gilmour, Worshipful Master of Carbon Lodge #16, presided over the event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Masons Lodge in Price.

On Oct. 8, 1910, Carbon Lodge #16, Free and Accepted Masons of Price, was formed. The first Worshipful Master of the lodge was James B. Middleton.

In honor of the 100th anniversary, members of Carbon Lodge #16, held a celebration to this on Oct. 16, at Anthony J's in Price. There were approximately 80 members and their wives, from Carbon Lodge #16, and other lodges throughout the state present.

Most Worshipful Brother, Ridgely H. Gilmour, Worshipful Master of Carbon Lodge #16, and Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Utah, presided over the event.

The evening started with a social hour from 6 to 7 p.m., where afterwards the attendees enjoyed a prime rib and salmon dinner.

There was also a presentation given on the 100-year history of Carbon Lodge, and a drawing for gifts.

A fun evening of fellowship and memories of old was had by all who attended. A special thanks to Carbon Lodge Secretary, Jim Robertson PM, for the work he put into organizing this event.
