Race raises funds for domestic violence group

Racers take off from the starting line at the Price Peace Gardens Saturday morning.

About 30 runners and walkers took part in the Carbon County Domestic Violence Coalitions Run/Walk Away from Violence Race Saturday morning. The event was a fund raiser for the coalition. Runners covered five kilometers, or about 3.2 miles, while walkers traveled half that distance.
