Kenilworth man killed in tragic crash

Wayne Christiansen, a 64-year-old Kenilworth man, was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision with a semi truck just east of Soldier Summit. The Utah Highway Patrol said Christiansen apparently was heading east toward Price when he struck an elk in the road, veered into the westbound lane and collided with the semi. UHP said speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident. The driver and passenger in the semi, both of Houston, Texas, had only minor injuries. US-6 was closed for more than three hours for cleanup and investigation.
