Gibby announces pending higher education merger

A boulder enshrined at the College of Eastern Utah since the Second Millennium C.E. predicts the future by announcing the July 1 official merger of CEU with Utah State University. Gibby, as the rock is known, sits on the east lawn of the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center on the Price Campus. Nobody knows how many messages or coats of paint cover the antique monument. Gibby has, however, outlived the old Reeves Main Building where it first appeared one night during the mid-20th Century. The aging building was torn down and replaced so the old stone was relocated.
