Losses dot season opener for Price AL team

The Price American Legion team opened their season with a double header at home against Rock Springs, Wyo. on Sunday afternoon. The outcome was almost as dreary as the weather with Rock Springs beating Price 13-2 and 5-3.

Joe McKinnon took the mound for the hometown boys and pitched five innings for the loss. McKinnon did drive in the only two runs for Price. Johnathan Garcia and Tyson Damron also posted base hits for the team.

Damron went five innings on the mound in game two before being relieved by Garcia. Damron gave up three runs for the loss. Marcus Montoya hit a two RBI double in the 4th inning. In the 6th , McKinnon drove in Nico Velazquez for the final run for Price.
