The Price American Legion team will begin its third season of play. Under the direction of Coach Willie Ellington, they will remain independent and play teams from Helper, Vernal and Rock Springs.

Ellington will have many returning players again this season - Levi Graff, Dallen Wilson, Max Misner, Joe McKinnon and Joeseph Lopez to name a few. Each year this group of players have improved their record and are looking to do it again this season.

The Price team, just like the Helper squad, is also open to any boy born on or after Jan 1, 1991. Ellington is hoping to see a good group turn out for try-outs on May 17 and 18. They will be held on the Carbon High baseball field at 6:00 p.m. each night.

Game will be played on the CEU field. Ellington is very humbled by the great community support his team has. He wants to make sure that his sponsors know how much he and his team appreciate all the time and money that has been contributed to make this team a reality.

Ellington's emphasis with the second legion team in the area is to expand the opportunities for kids who have a hard time making the cut for the Helper squad, but still strive to play ball. He knows that keeping kids busy helps them focus on positive and stay out of trouble.

He encourages the community to come and support the team and see some good baseball as his boys continue to grow and improve.
