On March 26 the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Price Field Office will open the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry for the season.
One of the world's greatest fossil resources, the quarry offers visitors outstanding educational and recreational opportunities. Children can imagine what life might have been like at the quarry when dinosaurs roamed Utah; families can relax and enjoy lunch at the quarry picnic tables; and, adventurous visitors can hike the trails around the quarry itself.
From March 26 to Memorial Day, the quarry will be open Friday through Sunday. From Memorial Day, May 31, through Labor Day, Sept. 6, the quarry is open daily. After Labor Day to the end of October, the quarry will return to weekend hours. Quarry hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Sundays when doors are open from noon to 5 p.m.
Visitors 15 and under are free.
Please note, the Quarry can facilitate large groups of visitors, as well as educational groups, but advanced arrangements should be made through the Price Field Office at (435) 636-3600.
