Classes will be taught in Price on November 17 and Dec 8. 2009 at 9:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Southestern Utah District Health Dept., 28 South 100 East in Price. Classes will be taught in Castle Dale on November 18 and December 9, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Health Department, 25 West Main St. in Castle Dale. Classes will be taught in Green River on November 24th, 2009 at the Green River City Offices, 460 East Main Street, Green River at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The classes are two hours in length and the cost is $15.00 to take the test. Carbon County Family Support and Children's Justice Center - offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old.
The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, support meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence.
Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
The center is also collecting donations for displaced families. Furniture items will be accepted only if the center has families in need.
