The business fair was held recently, but that didn't stop the committee to organizing next year's event. Changes will include more entertainment and workshops for the public.
Despite the fact the last minute of the Castle Country Business Market took place only a couple of weeks ago, the committee that is helping to plan for next year is already busy making plans.
While the event, which was held at the Carbon County Events Center, was considered a success, one of the things the committee wants to do is to let the public know that the event is about them and not about a bunch of businesses just getting together.
The committee discussed a name change which will place a better monicker on the event such as the Castle County Marketplace, the Business Fair Extravaganza and the Family Shoppers Mall. The point they want to make is that the fair is for consumers.
For next year it appears the fair, whatever the name might be, will be held in mid-October, on a Friday and Saturday. It will feature fun for kids, entertainment, food for the whole family and bargains from local businesses. There will also be classes about business for businesses and the public on Friday before the fair opens for the weekend.
The fair committee is also looking at putting on publci workshops on cooking, music, outdoors, home improvement and personal investing.
Entertainment will also once again be on tap as well as some other activities that will generate excitement in the community.
There was even a discussion about talking with Price City concerning having the last week of the Farmers Market at the center rather than on 100 East that weekend.
A few more meetings will be held in the next year to solidify the ideas and venues for the fair.
