The Carbon girls soccer team traveled North to take on Park City on Thursday afternoon. It appears they forgot to bring their defense as they lost 12-0 to the Miners. Park City is one of the best 3A teams, but Carbon had been playing some good team defense and the lopsided loss was disappointing to Coach Jerad Upwall to finish region play.

"I don't have much to say about it, but in our defense, we decided to rest many of our starters and play the JV because we have to play ALA on Monday."

Carbon and ALA are tied for the final play-off berth in region 10. That game will be played Monday, Oct. 12 and the results will be in the Thursday Sun Advocate. If Carbon beats ALA they get to play Wednesday in the first round of play-offs in St George.
