With only the toughest two region teams left to face this season, the Lady Dino soccer team's hopes of a play-off berth may no longer be in their hands. The Thursday afternoon a 3-1 loss to ALA left them tied with the Eagles for the final spot as the region action draws to an end in two weeks.

The first half action was a hard fought defensive game with neither team finding the net until very late in the period. Carbon's Felicia Olmos followed her own shot in after it bounced out of the hands of the Eagle's goalie for the first point of the game.

But in the second half the Lady Dinos could not keep up with the pace and ALA began to find ways of getting the ball where they needed it. They scored all three of their goals in the second period of play.

That loss for Carbon put them in a tie with ALA. If it comes down to the end of region play and the tie remains, it will most likely be decided by a coin toss.

The Dinos have two more chances to get a win. Both of their final games will be on the road. The team travels to Wasatch on Oct. 6 and then Park City on Oct. 9.
