The closest to their actual time without going over received a $50 gift certificate to The Athletes Foot. The inaugural winner was Kacylia Ivory, coming within eight seconds of her actual run time. Other runners came close and their actual run times exceeded their guesses.

Carbon County Recreation took the opportunity to promote their new running club at the race, the Price Area Running Club (PARC) as they are named it was organized by a group of runners led by Scott Merrell. The group is in its infant stages but is looking to broaden their participation and members. There is an annual fee of ten dollars and interested people can call Carbon County Recreation.
