On Wednesday and Thursday, Utah State University President Stan Albrecht and USU Provost Ray Coward will visit the College of Eastern Utah campus in Price.
The purpose of the two-day visit is to discuss the future of the school with CEU faculty, staff, administration and community leaders in the Carbon County area, according to higher education officials.
The pair will meet with a variety of stakeholders to answer questions about USU.
Albrecht and Coward will address issues about how a potential affiliation with USU could benefit CEU and the communities in southeastern Utah, indicated state higher education officials.
The meetings are scheduled in conjunction with the Utah Board of Regents' task force that will formulate a recommendation regarding CEU at the panel's next meeting on July 17.
In addition, the USU representatives will conduct a public meeting June 10 at 7 p.m. in the CEU Alumni Room in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.
During the public session, Community members can discuss the situation and ask questions about the possibilities.
On June 11, they will meet with members of the CEU faculty, professionals, classified staff and students.
