Jerri Timothy who owns Fitness World at 47 West Main Street has been teaching aerobics since April of 1982.

She says she taught aerobics during her three pregnancies and up to six weeks before delivery, and then went back to teaching again six weeks later.

She has taught Jazzworks, which she has been certified in since she was 20, in Powell and Laramie, Wyo. In 1987 she became the Wyoming and Montana workshop supervisor for Jazzworks.

After Jazzworks retired she changed her classes to Bodyworks in Laramie.

After moving to Price she started teaching in 2003 and called her program Total Aerobic Fitness using weights and bands. With the response she was getting to the program, she says her husband, Randy, made her dream of owning her own gym come true.

The doors of Fitness World opened in early 2004. Since that time she has received certification as a Pilates instructor, as a personal fitness trainer, and a group fitness instructor. In 2006 she went to a workshop called Last Man Standing, a kickboxing workshop and then Balletone Sole Synthesis which was a Pilates and Yoga discipline combined.

In 2007 she went to a flexibility Shakti workshop, to Step Reebok; Yo Step and a Strength 20/20/20 class.

In 2008 she became a certified Tae bo Fitness Instructor and this year she has already received a Group Exercise and Kickboxing certification. She is also certified to teach Turbo Jam/Turbo Kick.

She says now at the age of 47, she still loves teaching fitness classes and helping people with their fitness goals.
