Just like in the previous weekend, the College of Eastern Utah baseball team went 1-3 against a pretty good Southern Nevada team. Playing in Henderson, Nev., things started out really tough for the Golden Eagles as they dropped game one 10-0 with the 10 run rule called in the fifth.

Then CEU's defense woke up and even though they lost the next two games, they played better and fell to the Coyotes 3-1 in both those contests. Finally, the Eagle bats came alive and they defeated their hosts 6-5 to wrap up the weekend series.

CEU is now 5-11 in conference play and 12-18 overall on the season. They take on Southern Idaho in a four game stand this weekend starting at 1 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's double-header begins at noon.
