John Johnson

REDMOND - John U'Dell Johnson, 58, of Redmond, Utah, passed away March 11, 2009.

John was born April 5, 1950 in Salina to U'Dell and Lou Gene Johnson. He married Roxanne DeBiasi Aug. 8, 1975; they later divorced.He married Julie Ann Gilbert June 5, 1996. Their marriage was solemnized Nov. 28, 2000 in the Provo LDS Temple. They are the parents of nine children.

John graduated from North Sevier High School in 1968, then served two years in the Texas-Houston mission. He was active in the LDS Church his entire life, serving in numerous positions, including scouts.

He attended Utah State University and worked in the forest service during the summers fighting fires. He was a manager for JB's restaurant and salesman for IFA in the irrigation division. He owned many businesses, including shoe repair, Johnson's Market in Redmond, Vector Video stores in multiple cities and Redmond Irrigation and Buildings.

John enjoyed golfing, the game of RISK, cards, coin collecting, 30 years of collecting hats, four-wheeling, hunting, camping, boating and an avid fan of the JAZZ.

John loved to be with his family and his work.He dedicated his life to serving his family and others. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

John is survived by his wife, Julie, Redmond; children: Sabin (Jordan) Johnson, Portland, Ore.; Shane (Jenny) Johnson, Redmond; Skyla (Jack) Canfield, West Jordan; Tasha (Jeremiah) Snow, Salina; Jade Johnson, San Francisco, Calif.; Garek (Julia ) Johnson, Provo; Brock (Jaylynn) Johnson, Redmond; Sarah (Chance) Davis, Salina; 11 grandchildren; stepmother, Jean Johnson, Redmond; sisters and brothers, Sue Johnson, San Diego, Calif.; Valerie (Terry) Hansen, Midvale; Gordon (Tammy) Johnson, Redmond; Eliza (Norman) Jensen, Centerfield; Jody (Jill) Johnson, Cedar City. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Chase Johnson.
