Carbon Lady Dinos bury Park City Miners

Before the Lady Dinos took their Christmas break they upped their already impressive record to 9-0 by breaking the Park City Miners.

Park City was the latest prey to find themselves in the Dinos sights and they went down hard with a 68-33 loss to Carbon on Dec. 23.

The Carbon defense was just too much for the Miners in the first as the Dinos held them to only two points, as the mighty Dinos posted 16.

The Miners moved their account to 11 at the break but by then Carbon had 36 points in the bank.

Each quarter the Dinos outscored the Miners to end up at more than double their opponent in the end.

Patricia Smith pounded the net with 16 points to lead all scorers. Julia Potts hit for 13 points, seven assists and five steals.

She also forced five steals and went five out of six from the line. Karlee Martino pulled in eight rebounds and was equally as hot on the offensive boards as the defensive end.

Next up for Carbon is the ever powerful Wasatch High team on, Jan. 2. This home game will have an early start at 5:15 p.m.before the boys tip off at 7 p.m.
