East Carbon Police Chief Sam Leonard follows the trail of a suspect who reportedly fled the scene of a double stabbing in Sunnyside.
East Carbon police apprehended a suspect wanted in connection with a double stabbing incident on Dec. 11. Law enforcement officials subsequently arrested Frankie Leon Paige, 38 of Helper, on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of burglary and one count of domestic violence in the presence of a child on Thursday.
According to East Carbon Police Chief Sammy Leonard, Paige reportedly entered the home of David and Kathy Rea in Sunnyside and assaulted the couple with a piece of glass. The incident allegedly occurred while the subject was attempting to assault two other occupants inside the residence.
Page was apprehended behind his parents' home in the Columbia subdivision of East Carbon, indicated Leonard. A detailed account of the incident will be reported in the Dec. 16 edition of the Sun Advocate.
