HELPER/SALT LAKE CITY - Our loving son, father and brother, William "Billy" Joseph Riche, age 31, passed away Dec. 30, 2007 at Pioneer Valley Hospital in West Valley.
He was born on April 1, 1976 in Price. Although our time with him was short, he was blessed with two special boys, Shad and Stetson Riche.
Billy was a graduate of Carbon High School, where he excelled in wrestling and rodeo.
He enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite sports were competing in motor cross, BMX racing and rodeo. He loved watching stock car racing, motor cross, extreme sports and football on Sunday.
He enjoyed cooking and sharing his new creations with family and friends.
At the time of his passing, he was employed with Hardwick Truck & Machine.
Billy was liked by everyone he met. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Shad and Stetson Riche; wife , Nancy; father and stepmother, Derald and Tina Riche, Spring Glen; mother, Jackie of Price; brothers, Derald Jr., and Levi Ray Riche, both of Helper; Ricky L. Riche, Spring Glen; sister, Desiree B. (Tom) Robertson, Helper; stepsisters, JoZette (Dan) Algiene, Texas; Antionette (Nick) Rudman, Helper; Adicia Braggs, Texas; special friend, Brandi, and her three children, Gage, Karlee and Talon; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Richard Joseph Riche.

PRICE - Gertrude Bernice Edwards Naylor Gordon passed away at the age of 92 from natural causes Dec. 31, 2007 surrounded by her family.
She was born May 30, 1915 in Utah Mine, Carbon County, to William Williams Edwards and Gertrude Algie Wilde. She grew up in Clear Creek. She married Joseph Robb Naylor in 1937. After his death in 1956, she married Clarence Gordon in 1960.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe and Clarence; her parents; her son, Morley Edwards Naylor; and a great-granddaughter, Alyshia Catherine Chacon. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Naylor of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, Jodi (Anthony) Molloy, Staci (Rob) Chacon, Kari (Chad) Goodrich and Brian (Sarah) Naylor; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alison, Zachary, Joshua, Matthew, Kaili, Austin, Abby and Ginny; a sister-in-law, Elaine Naylor; and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Castleview Hospital, Parkdale Care Center, Alpine Homecare and Alpine Hospice for their loving care of Bernice for the past four months.
She was laid to rest on Jan. 2 at the Price City Cemetery.
PRICE - Our dear sweet Jeanne McMurren, age 67, passed away on Dec. 26, 2007.
She was born Nov. 26, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa, to Leo and Edith McCarthway McMurren.
She was an angel on earth and we know she's in the loving arms of her family.
She will be dearly missed.
Survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Griffis, Kahoka, Mo.; two nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by her brother, Norman; and sister, Janet McMurren.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - On Christmas Day 2007, God came to gather our brightest jewel, Darlene Marquez Trujillo, 60.
She was the last child born to Frank and Lupita Marquez. Born prematurely on Oct. 27, 1947 in Price, she fought to come into this world.
She fought a courageous battle for a year to stay with her beloved husband, Joe; her sons, Joe. Jr. and Brian; and her greatest joy of all, granddaughter Skylar. Anytime with Skylar was like watching two little girls playing house.
Darlene graduated in 1966 from Carbon High School. Shortly after, she married the love of her life. They settled in Las Vegas, Nev.
She devoted her life to making a loving home for her family.
She liked poker machines, dancing, Mexican soap operas and music. Her private hours were devoted to prayer and Bible reading.
Preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and brother-in-law. Survived by six siblings, Lorraine (Bruce) Hayling; Lydia (Jack) McDonald; Frank, Tino (Lena) and Ross (Delores); mother-in-law, Lugy Stocker; sisters-in-law, Alice, Nancy (Erlindo), Abbie, Gladys (Mike), Ida (Leroy) and Pruda; umerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass, Saturday, Jan. 5, 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Las Vegas, Nev.
DELTA - Ensign John Robert Harrison was suddenly called home by his Heavenly Father Dec. 25, 2007 at age 26 in Okinawa, Japan, while serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was born Feb. 24, 1981 in Mesa, Ariz., to John Eugene Harrison and Kris Tenna Linch
He married Heather Winters March 15, 2003 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were married four years nine months. On May 11, 2007, their first son, Patrick Tillman Harrison, was born. He was the joy of his father's life. They are expecting their second child in June 2008.
He attended Marcos de Niza High School and graduated with honors in 2000. He attended Scottsdale Community College and graduated in May 2006 from Arizona State University in civil engineering as a member of the National Engineering Honor Society.
He served in the Scotland-Edinburgh mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2000-2002.
He joined the United States Navy Sept. 1, 2004 and was commissioned an officer in August 2006. He attended officer candidate school in Pensacola, Fla., and civil engineering corps officers school in Port Hueneme, Calif.
He was stationed at United States Marine Corp Base Camp Foster in Okinawa, Japan. He was working for the residential officer in charge of construction and planned to make a career of the Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Winters Harrison; son, Patrick; father, John Harrison of Rose, Okla.; mother, Kris Tenna Linch of Arizona; brothers, Todd and Matthew, Oklahoma; sister, Kami, Casa Grande, Ariz.; and in-laws Ronald and Shari Winters, Delta; grandmas, Lael Miller, Price; and Katherine Winters, Helper.
Viewing will be Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m at Nickle Mortuary. Funeral Wednesday, Jan. 9, 11a.m., at the Delta Utah LDS Stake Center, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
HELPER - Charmaine Hill Jones, "Grandma Char," age 76, passed away Jan. 2, 2008 in Price.
She was born March 12, 1931 in Helper to Orson and Emma Johnson Hill. Married LaGrand "Tracy" Jones on May 24, 1952 in Helper; he passed away on Feb. 25, 1983.
Charmaine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a lifelong resident of Helper and a graduate of Carbon High School.
Charmaine retired from Carbon County School District with many years of dedicated service.
She was always there to help others in need and assisted in numerous projects in the area.
Grandma Char will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Heirloom Inn and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the special care they gave Grandma Char.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Jodi (Kirk) Mascaro, Helper; Carey (Jeff) Haycock, Price; Tracy (Ellie) Jones, Helper; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Mary) Hill, Cedar City; and sister, Shirley Jensen, Price. PRICE - Thomas Jefferson Murray, age 95, died on Jan. 1, 2008 in Price.
He was born Oct. 31, 1912 in Duchesne to Joseph Ellison Murray and Carrie Jensen. He married Ramona Robb Murray in Price in July 1938.
Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a World War II veteran and served with the Navy Sea Bees.
He worked as a construction superintendent and was a member of the carpenters union.
His favorite hobby was gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and seven siblings. He is survived by his five children, Marie (Bob) Slavensky of Oregon; Tom (Rheta) Murray of Salt Lake City; Cheryl (Paul) Nilson of Centerville; Luana Murray of Colorado; and Brent Murray of Price; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. at the Duchesne City Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, Jan. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, 680 East 100 South. Interment will be in the Duchesne City Cemetery.

PRICE-Arden William Mortensen left this earth life Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, where he was residing at the Heirloom Inn in Price.
He was born Oct. 20, 1923 in Huntington to Alma and Maggie Burgess Mortensen. His heart was broken on April 29, 2004 by the passing of his beloved wife Jane.
"Morty" was a general contractor in the Price area for the majority of his working days. His belief in doing the job right no matter what it took was passed on to all who worked with him.
Arden was a quiet, reserved man who took pride in his service to his fellowmen and service to his country. He was a respected member of the greatest generation, a warrior of WWII serving in the Army Air Forces while stationed in England.
He loved to play golf with his partner of 57 years right up to her passing.
His kind demeanor and crisp personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Arden is survived by his sister, Viola Ponsonby of Redondo Beach, Calif.; sons and daughter, Drake (Marie) Mortensen, Wellington; Keven (Deb) Mortensen, Price; Murray Mortensen, Farmington, N.M.; Boyd (Alma) Mortensen, Farmington, N.M.; Darla Moore, Elko, Nev. Arden had 10 grandchildren and eight and one-half great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Jerry Patrick; and son-in-law, Kerrick Moore.

CLEVELAND - Leone "Sis" Cunnigham, age 73, passed away on Jan. 1, 2008.
She was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Cleveland to Clement J. Johnson and Chrystal Cleone Swasey. She married Bill Cunningham on Feb. 16, 1962 and had five children.
Sis loved taking care of her family and the proof was in her cooking.
She enjoyed gardening, art and crafts and everything that was beautiful.
Sis is survived by Bill, her husband of 45 years; her son, Jay (Kresta) Cunningham; daughter Nancy (Dayna) Jensen; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mary (Lot) Majors and Joy Lynn (Ernie) McFarlane; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three sons Kalvin, Clint and Todd; four brothers, one sister and her parents.

FERRON - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Delma Leslie, age 95, returned to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at the Emery County Care and Rehab Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 1912 in Emery, the second of seven children born to John Julius and Mary Kristine Jorgensen Christiansen.
Delma grew up and attended school in Emery, graduating from South Emery High. She married Easton Leslie on Feb. 11, 1933 in Ferron. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away on Aug. 2, 1997 after 64 years together.
Delma was an active member of the LDS Church.
Her family was very important to her and she always looked forward to the family reunions.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and cooking.
Delma was blessed with the talent of crocheting which she enjoyed sharing with her family.
Delma is survived by her children, Merrill (Irma) Leslie, Las Vegas, Nev.; LaRene (Earl) Jensen, Ferron; Phylip (Shauna) Leslie, Cedar City; and Linda (Robert) Burke, West Valley City; two brothers, Merlin Christiansen, Emery; and Vernon Christiansen, Bountiful; sister, Euphemia Case, West Valley City; two sisters-in-law, Helen Christiansen, Salt Lake City; and Lila Christiansen, Morgan; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Delma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sylvia; two grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Relus Christiansen; sister, Irma Box: two sisters-in-law, Jean and Beverly Christiansen; two brothers-in-law, LaNell Case and Varian Box.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Millsite LDS Ward Chapel, 35 W. 200 North, Ferron. Viewing will be Thursday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will follow at the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
