Felix Casperi battles the boards. He pulled in eight rebounds and scored 24 points to lead the Eagles

In their final game before the Christmas break, the Golden Eagles lost to Western Wyoming 85-95 at home on Tuesday Dec. 4. Their scheduled Friday all-star match-up was canceled due to a massive storm pounding the area.

The Eagles came out strong against Western Wyoming on Tuesday night. They hit the outside shot and kept building a lead. The Eagles led by eight going into the locker room at the half. But whatever was said in Wyoming's locker room seemed to help because they came out and outscored the Eagles by 18 in the final period to take the win by 10.

Rafael Moreira towers above the crowd as he shoots.

Two Eagles ended up carrying the team. Felix Casperi was the leading scorer with 24 and he was high rebounder with eight. Rafael Moreira came off the bench and added 16 points and seven rebounds.

The team will resume play after Christmas, heading to Scottsdale, Ariz. for the SCC Tournament. The next chance to see the Eagles at home won't be until Jan. 18 when Salt Lake Community College rolls into town.
