A PRAYER OF CONSOLATION
I pray this will bring some consolation, to those Miners and families and the many people involved in the Crandall Canyon Mine, What they have done and are going to do for their friends. They done at no thought of the risk, they are taking at the cost of their own lives. Now a quote from the Bible! St. John 15:13 Greater Love hath no man than, this that a man lay down his life for his friends: Which has been done. Now in 2 Corn; FULL LIFE BIBLE it clearly teaches that there is no lapse of time between death and life to come. To me their spirit has gone to be with the one who gave us his spirit, which is GOD almighty. We pray for all of you always, May God Bless each and every one of you that God watches over you and keeps you safe and away from any and all harm, at all times
O. L. McKendrick
Crandall Canyon Mine won't let the miners go,
Back to the families who love them so.
Good men are working day and night,
In a long, dark tunnel with not much light.
An 8 inch drill goes deep into the ground,
To drop in a camera, to look all around.
A sign of hope, a sign of life,
To bring some good news to a worried wife.
Coal miners are a special breed.
Pride, strength and courage is their creed.
So Lord, please hear our prayer,
From hundreds and hundreds that really care.
Bring the six home, safe and sound.
From Crandall Canyon mine, deep underground.
We can't know why sad things happen.
We can only know that in time the pain will go away.
And in it's Place the Beautiful and special memories.
The keepsakes of the Heart will always remain.
May cherished memories give you Peace
As everyday goes by.
And bring you reassurance that Love can never die.
For as long as Love Endures and lives within your Heart
You and your Dear Loved One will never be apart.
In honor of nine.
Six miners' lay deep underground
the others tried, but three died, but the six were not found.
They are still drilling on the mountain of doom,
hoping and praying that six will be soon found.
Their family's live's are filled with loss and pain,
no matter what they do or how hard they pray,
Their fears are covered because the six are there to stay.
Tho loss of them fills us with great sorrow and pain,
their souls are with God, and that's where they will remain.
Deep down in that mine, darkness replaced the nine lights that shined,
outside, love, hope, prayers and fear are left to remind.
There was a light that came from that mine,
That no one saw, a light of nine souls on a journey of time,
going home to God, in peace with love and in no pain.

Because he was so Dear to you,
In such a special way. It's very hard to put in words. The things the Heart would say. But till the healing hand of time,
Helps ease the loss you bear. May you find comfort in the thought
That many truly care.
I know your Guardian Angel
Is watching over you. Whispering encouragement.
When you need it most,
Reminding you, You're in the Prayers,
Of those that hold you close.
Where's the sky?
Where's the ground.
It's cold and dark
And I'm all alone
And as I look around
I long for home.
I hear a noise
I turn and look
Into an angel's eyes
She smiles at me
And turns away
I follow her
As I pray
I step with her
Into a land of green
And everywhere I look
Flowers are seen
I follow her
Through a grassy meadow
To a little gazebo
Painted white and golden yellow
We step inside
As light surrounds
To leave this place
And all it's sounds
He smiles at me
And I follow him
Into a giant room
With floor of gems
I look through the floor
And there I see
All my family
Weeping for me
They are filled with grief
Longing and sorrow
And wondering how
They will get through tomorrow
I look at them
And my heart is breaking
As form their sobs
They stand there quaking
I want to help them
To give them peace
Let them know I'm okay
And give them release
They look at me
With tears in their eyes
I stand there and try
To help them realize
I tell them I'm happy
And that I am fine
And that I am with them
All the time
Now my family's at peace
And I am home
And that is where
I am writing this poem.
