Carbon County's residents celebrate arrival of new year

Festive party hats and confetti herald the arrival of 2002 in Castle Valley. Hordes of Carbon County residents celebrated New Year's Eve in a typical fashion. Various clubs and restaurants in the area slated special buffets and dinners, while many local homes were alive with private parties until the wee hours of Jan. 1.
