Casey Hopes: My name is Casey Hopes and I am running for Carbon County Commissioner. I am a family man and have been married to my beautiful wife Jana (Frandsen) for thirteen years. Together we have three beautiful daughters. I graduated from CEU, and the U of U, and recently Jana and I bought Carbon Copy Center. This is a pivotal point in our Nation's future as we, the people, take a look at where our country, our state, and our county are and decide what it is that we are going to leave for our children. As a family man this is something that concerns me. I am investing my time into Carbon County. The home that my wife and I built is here, our business is here, we have family here, and my dream is that my children will have the opportunity if they choose, to live, work, and raise their children here. Growing up I have always lived in small communities. Home to me is a place where you know more than just your neighbor, but the whole community and the whole community knows you. I love living in a place that cares for its own and knows the value of hard work. I am honored to live in a community that is a producer; producers of coal, electricity, and natural gas to name a few. Quality education is also very important and vital to the success of a community. Having USU Eastern in our area is truly a blessing. It is said that management is doing things right; and leadership is doing the right things. If elected as commissioner, I will dedicate my efforts into doing things right the first time. I will accomplish this by studying out the issues carefully. As a leader I will do the right things not just for some but for all. Times are unsure so I will be fiscally responsible by focusing on the basics, like making sure our infrastructure is in good working condition, securing water for the county, and giving county departments the necessary support so they can run effectively.
