This snow report shows the various regions and their snow pack. While the local area is at only 51 percent of snow pack, the moisture in the area measures 80 percent of normal because of some heavy rains that fell last November. However, due to the dry winter much of that water has been lost and soil water is very low in moisture. This means as much of the snow pack melts it will go into the ground rather than run off into streams and reservoirs.
