US 6 turns into a glistening parking lot for eastbound trafiic outside Wellington Monday morning as drivers wait for the black ice to thaw. Public safety officials closed the highway at about 8 a.m. because of at least four accidents between the town and the East Carbon turnoff. Public Safety Dispatch reported about a dozen weather-related accidents happened on Highways 10, 6, and 31. Wreckers had to load, unload and reload their town trucks with dented vehicles. The highway reopened at about 10 a.m. There were no serious injuries.
