Forty-year-old murder investigation reopened

Carbon County Sheriff Albert Passic, left, and Price Chief of Police Art Poloni examine blood on linoleum flooring at the murder scene of Loretta Jones in south Price in 1970. Jones was found dead of stab wounds by her three year old daughter on July 31 of that year. It is one of the most horrendous and mysterious crimes that has ever been committed in Carbon County and is unresolved to this day.
