Castleview Hospital employee to volunteer in India

Suzi Eaquinto, Director of surgical services at Castle View Hospital, smiles about her upcoming mission. As a volunteer for Operation Smile, Eaquinto will be going to Guwahati, India on a medical mission, offering her time and expertise to help the children of India. She is one of 130 people worldwide including nurses, doctors, surgeons and other medical professionals that will preform surgery on children with cleft lips, cleft palates, facial tumors and burns. In 26 years, Operation Smile, a children's medical charity, has provided free surgeries worldwide to more than 120,000 children and young adults. The region of Guwahati will have 30,000 children to screen and the goal of this India medical mission is to do 500 surgeries in a 10 day period. Suzi will be leaving on Feb. 8 for two weeks and will help to change lives, one smile at a time, with Operation Smile.
