Stick it to Cancer 3-D Target Competition - North Springs Archery Club and CNS are teaming up to "Stick it to Cancer" with a 3-D target shoot June 27 and 28. Sunnyside 65th Annual Rodeo Royalty Contest - June 28 at the Sunnyside arena. Royalty consists of Queen, 1st & 2nd attendant - ages 13 and up. Attendants may compete until they make Queen. 2 princesses -12 years and under may reign for 2 years as princess and then compete for Queens court at age 13. The contestants age is their age on the day of the contest. Contestants must ride their horses in a given pattern, ride in the parade on Saturday, July 13, and move the cattle during the rodeo. Carbon County Family Support and Children's Justice Center - offers crisis care for families with children through 11 years old.
The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, support meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence.
Parenting classes are held on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30. Please call ahead to reserve a spot in the class.
The center is also collecting donations for displaced families. Furniture items will be accepted only if the center has families in need.

Cell phones for seniors - Cell phones are available at the Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center in Price, Utah. The program provides free cell phones that allow the participant to dial 911 in emergencies at no cost. For more information call the RSVP office at 636-3204.
